This summer my oldest daughter Rachel and I drove from Seattle to Minneapolis so she could start a job with AmeriCorps. Here's a few pictures from our trip.
On the eastern side of Wyoming, we stayed in a Tipi near Devils' Tower National Monument.
An elk posing for me in Yellowstone.
We arrived at our campsite In Yellowstone about 10pm and we didn't feel like cooking dinner so it consisted of snap peas, grapes, strawberries and beer. Rachel seems happy though. We got our tent pitched by 11 or so and were on the road by 4:30 am to go on a photo tour.
Here's the cabin we stayed at in Montana. This was about 30 miles east of Missoula. It was extremely quiet and peaceful. No water, but we had electricity.
You've gotta love the speed limits in South Dakota!
We stopped in Sturgis, South Dakota on the last day of the 75th anniversary of their annual festival. Had a beer at The Knuckle and wandered around town.
Eagle in Yellowstone.
This was our transportation for the photo tour.
